FOUNDER

JANET MURRAY is an experienced inspirational business coach & mentor drawing on over twenty years’ experience in both the corporate world and as a successful entrepreneur. Her clients range from senior government, CEO’s and Director level management to entrepreneurs and tech start-ups who aspire to progress themselves and their ventures to greater heights through authentic leadership.

Her practice draws on a trove of proven methodologies to support leaders of both startups and established corporations. By combining the latest research-backed coaching, training and mentoring frameworks with her down-to-earth approach, Janet helps leaders accelerate their growth to unlock capabilities and leverage talents to serve at the highest potential for maximum impact.

For entrepreneurs, this means defining the business proposition, gaining product-market fit on the road to securing investment, and developing the skills to build and manage teams. For those who head businesses and teams, it's furthering all the people skills, visionary creativity and mindset discipline to strengthen and extend their own capabilities, and to inspire the same in others. In all engagements, Janet emphasises mindfulness and building resilience for personal and professional fulfilment.

In addition to her extensive coaching credentials and on-going training, Janet's leadership work is grounded in the experience of a robust career: Her corporate career included trading and broking oil as senior negotiator for Shell UK/ Shell International for a decade. She is an entrepreneur with two successful exits, co-founding and launching her own training delivery and publishing business that she later successfully sold and then a financial services company. Throughout these experiences, Janet discovered her passion for the art and science of cultivating leadership proficiency. Her well-rounded experience provides a deep, broad and unique base for her coaching, training and mentoring.

Janet's practice is sector-agnostic, yet she has worked across numerous industries internationally. Special areas of focus are climate change innovation, high tech, med-tech, and women's leadership. The span of individuals and organisations Janet serves is vast, from not-for-profits and universities to FTSE 500 companies.

Highlights of her work:

  • Mentoring and coaching on leading science accelerators and innovation programmes across Europe helping them to launch their start-ups and cumulatively raise millions of pounds of investment.

  • Coaching and running workshops with future leaders on climate change innovation to meet UN Sustainability goals at the United Nations Youth Assembly in New York.

  • Business Coach in Residence, Imperial College and a founding mentor of the MIT-style Imperial Venture Mentoring Service; and working as mentor and judge at London Business School's Clean-Tech Challenge, amongst others.

  • Her work with IESE Business School in Barcelona includes providing leadership coaching for C-level women executives, plus heading the coaching and mentoring for Empowering Women Entrepreneurship in Health Innovation (WE Health), which is a strategic project of the EIT Health Programme. with business leaders in corporations, government and not-for-profit. She was also part of the GENiE group at Harvard Business School.

  • Regularly mentoring & coaching Forbes “30 under 30”

  • Executive coaching for Included VC, focusing on diversity and inclusion at their core, with a group of Fellows across Europe on a life-changing venture capital program. Her coaching has included for their venture partners such as Notion VC, Seedcamp & Creandum.

  • She works in partnership with a Silicon Valley neuroscience based coaching company delivering high impact training to leading tech companies.

  • In addition to Janet's professional training certifications, she earned a business degree from Manchester Metropolitan University, a post-graduate accreditation in alternative dispute resolution and has negotiation accreditation from Harvard Business School.

She's also a founding director of www.mac-murray.com, a training organisation focused on neuro-based science leadership in the age of disruption.

Janet is the author of two coaching books (on Amazon), She is currently writing a book on authentic leadership. She is on the advisory boards of a number of companies, and is retained as an ongoing consultant by many of her past clients for her rare blend of intuitive personal wisdom and strategic and operational nouse.

Kirsty's is a highly experienced international educator, consultant and coach. Her clients range from C-level, VP, and Directors to VCs and entrepreneurs. Recently the training and coaching of young entrepreneurs, innovators and leaders of outstanding potential in Silicon Valley and the UK has become a strong area of focus. Her passion is to support individuals and organisations to fulfill their potential with zest and to foster wisdom and wellbeing in the workplace. Kirsty is inspired by emerging educational frontiers. She provided core leadership and wellbeing training and coaching at Draper University for Entrepreneurs in San Mateo, Calif., during its start-up years (2014-2017).

Kirsty’s work also spans the design and delivery of high impact events, such as serving as Event Director for the Scottish Diaspora Forum at the Scottish Parliament, the EU Summit on Innovation, the Eden Forum at the Eden Project in Cornwall, and the Summit on Compassion/AI & Leadership presented jointly by Stanford and University of Edinburgh.

Alongside her rigorous academic and professional background, Kirsty brings presence and depths from decades as a practitioner and instructor in mindfulness meditation, yoga and holistic personal development. In her earlier years she rode for Scotland and participated in many team sports, which provided personal insight into the potent role of sports in character development.
